'God is in the details'

 

 Here in Japan, we have thousands of gods: in the trees, in the rocks, mountains and rivers; everywhere throughout the land. 

 So I dare say that the act of taking pictures is the same as the act of finding gods in those locations.

The name of god is 'beauty'.

 I am very concerned with details. I am searching for the subject, in every single inch, to find the essence of beauty.

 So far, this has been my approach to making photographs.

 There is beauty in photographic detail making it possible to express how I feel about the world I live.
